Share The Gift of Your Touch
Your touch has the power to promote healing, relieve pain and comfort those living with the effects of aging, disease or disability.
Why Compassionate Touch® Training?
Compassionate Touch® is a hands-on complementary approach for those in eldercare, hospice and palliative care. It combines focused touch and sensitive massage with specialized communication skills to enhance the quality of life for those in later life stages.
Our training empowers massage therapists, other health professionals and caregivers to serve this expanding population with confidence and to celebrate the mutual benefits of Compassionate Touch®. More than a set of techniques and skills, it is a way of relating that gives you the opportunity to contribute to the quality of life of another human being in a way that is both simple… and profound.
Why now?
The need is growing.
- In 2011 America's 78 million baby boomers will begin turning 65 at a rate of one every 10 seconds.
- It’s estimated that among those turning 65 today, 69% will need some form of long term care.
- Person-centered care is changing the culture of eldercare
- At the same time, the therapeutic use of massage among those 65 and older has tripled in the past decade.
Now is the perfect time!
Put your passion to work.
