Compassionate Touch^® Level 1 Workshop: This 2 1/2 day workshop is for massage therapists or health professionals who wish to serve elders, and the ill or dying person. Training includes: Common conditions and unique needs of elders in long term care; benefits of massage for individuals in care settings; sensitive massage techniques; comfort positioning; safety and precautions; accessing a person in a wheelchair or hospital bed; introduction to massage in care of those with dementia; specialized communication skills and introduction to expanding massage practice into care settings. Compassionate Touch^® sessions with elders are a part of this training. Your hands-on experience is deepened as all of our training is held in a long term care facility. Instructor: Melody Meyer

Friday-5pm-9pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am-5:30pm

Cancellation Policy: In the event that you are not able to attend your scheduled event-all tuition payments are transferable to any course up to 1 year from original course date or you may send a substitute. In the event that the workshop is rescheduled, you have the option of transferring your registration to any future workshop or you may request a tuition refund. We will make every effort to notify you of a reschedule 1 week prior to the workshop date.
